Later on that night I couldn’t help but think of the person I had seen earlier this afternoon. It was a girl. I had seen her in the plane I was on. We were sitting in first class where all the unaccompanied minors were. Actually, we were the only ones, she was in the seat across from mine. She had russet hair with chunky streaks of blonde up to her shoulders. Her eyes were the tenderest eyes of pure emerald I had ever seen. Her build was very slim and she was quite short. I even remembered her name, Kassia which meant pure. She always sent shivers up my spine every time she glared at me. It was like glaring into the eyes of paradise. We got on really well and she was very welcoming. I thought I had a chance with her until one of the engines of the plane suddenly exploded. I closed my eyes at the thought of it. I felt really dim-witted for letting her go like that. Why did she run away from me? I thought we were friends. She could be anywhere by now. Lost. Just like I was. I had to find her. I promised myself I wouldn’t rest until I did.
